Our StoryIt began with a stack of cards on a nightstand.
My husband Brian was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's at 56. For several years we cared for him at home before moving him into memory care.
One simple thing brought him extraordinary joy: the handwritten cards my mother sent. Every day he'd show them to us and read them again, as though each one had just arrived.
In memory care we met residents who rarely got a visitor, a letter, or a phone call — separated from family by distance, by busy lives, by circumstances that had changed. We saw what one cheerful piece of mail could do. It could turn a whole day around.
That's why The Sunshine Post exists — for anyone who's lonely or just in need of a little encouragement. Our mission is simple: spread sunshine one mailbox at a time, through mail that makes people smile, feel remembered, and know they are loved.

Every mailing is built to do the same thing — stories, puzzles, recipes, and seasonal surprises, delivered right to the mailbox.
